NTU urges all Representatives to vote “YES” on H.R. 357, the Ensuring Accountability in Agency Rulemaking Act, which would require a rule promulgated under Section 553, of Title 5, of the United States Code to be issued and signed by an official who has been appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate.
Importantly, this Act would ensure greater accountability to taxpayers in the regulatory process and prevent unelected bureaucrats from issuing regulations.
Roll call votes on H.R. 357 will be included in NTU’s annual Rating of Congress and a “YES” vote will be considered the pro-taxpayer position.
