NTU Urges House of Representatives to Reelect Speaker Johnson

National Taxpayers Union (NTU), the nation’s oldest taxpayer organization, strongly urges the House of Representatives to reelect Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) to his leadership post.

NTU President Pete Sepp provided the following statement:

“Many vital tax, budgetary, and regulatory policy decisions are ahead, and Speaker Johnson has both the experience and the principled approach necessary to deliver huge wins for taxpayers in the 119th Congress.

“With much of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act expiring at the end of the year, it’s critical for Congress to swiftly enact a pro-growth tax bill that prevents an enormous tax hike on American families and businesses, while simultaneously creating jobs and lifting wages for workers. I can think of no one better suited for the task than Mike Johnson.

“NTU looks forward to working with Speaker Johnson, Majority Leader Steve Scalise, Whip Tom Emmer, and the entire 119th Congress to pass pro-taxpayer legislation that will be signed into law by President Trump.”
