NTU Commends The Senate on Passing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act

Following the Senate passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, National Taxpayers Union President Pete Sepp said, "Today the naysayers are falling silent, the hand-wringers are sitting still, and the disbelievers are becoming converts. After more than 30 years of talking about tax reform, Washington is acting to give Americans the less burdensome, more competitive, and simpler tax system they deserve. That’s why NTU led a coalition of 34 free market organizations in support of passing this legislation once and for all. The Senate's passage today of the final tax reform bill may need one more follow-up vote in the House, but the momentum remains strong to deliver relief to families, small businesses, and companies seeking a level playing field on which to compete. Congress has almost reached its goal ... forward!"
