(Alexandria, VA) – National Taxpayers Union (NTU) and National Taxpayers Union Foundation (NTUF) are very pleased to announce John Tillman has joined the organizations' Board of Directors. Currently CEO of the Illinois Policy Institute, Tillman brings a wealth of experience as an entrepreneur, communicator, and innovator in the non-profit advocacy sphere to NTU.
“We could not be more excited to add John Tillman to our team,” said NTU and NTUF President Pete Sepp. “John will be invaluable in helping to guide us to more effectively protect taxpayers and communicate how limited government can make a difference in people’s everyday lives.”
As Illinois Policy Institute CEO, Tillman has made responsible fiscal policy matter in one of the most difficult political environments for limited government advocates – showing the universal appeal of freedom. His success in spearheading free market reform in such a challenging state has not gone without notice, as Tillman won the State Policy Network’s Roe Award for his accomplishments.
Previously, Tillman helped start and grow the Sam Adams Alliance and Americans for Limited Government. He is a co-founder of the Great Communicators Foundation, and also former vice president of the Board of Directors for the Neighborhood Boys & Girls Club in Chicago.
